Momentum is in favour of cannabis legalisation right now with an increasing number of people that have access to cannabis for recreational use in all shapes and forms. Especially in Colorado and Washington there is a growing market for marijuana edibles. This has not gone unnoticed by mainstream companies from the food industry and soon they could be warming up to the idea of tapping into the market for marijuana edibles as well.
In a recent interview with Huffpost Live, Ben and Jerry’s founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield were asked about their position on making marijuana edibles, should it be legal to do so.
Ben Cohen surprisingly said “Makes sense to me. You know, combine your pleasures”. Co-Founder Jerry Greenfield seemed more cautious at first but then also admitted to their “previous experiences with substances” and expressed his support for legalisation stressing however that although personally in favour such a move would not be his decision to make.
